Cunningham

Cunningham is a refined residential project defined by its warm, restrained material palette and carefully composed architectural form. Natural timber, stone, and soft neutral finishes work together to create a calm, grounded atmosphere, while considered openings and spatial sequencing bring in controlled natural light and frame views to the surrounding context. The result is a home that feels both intimate and open, shaped by a clear sensitivity to site and setting.

Across the project, there is a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and detail, where every junction, surface, and transition has been carefully resolved to reinforce the overall sense of cohesion. The balance between solid and void, interior and exterior, creates a quiet architectural rhythm that elevates everyday living. The design was developed in collaboration with FIGR Architecture & Design, whose approach further refines the project’s precision and material clarity.

Moorhouse

Moorhouse is a carefully reworked Victorian terrace that transforms a narrow inner-city footprint into a calm and highly efficient urban sanctuary. Defined by its layered thresholds and controlled openings, the design uses filtered light, screened façades, and restrained material shifts to create a sense of privacy while still maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding Richmond laneway context. The result is a compact home that feels surprisingly open, with each space flowing deliberately into the next.

Inside, the project is characterized by refined detailing and a quiet material palette that softens the constraints of its 4.5-metre-wide site. Built-in storage, subtle tonal variations, and carefully composed natural light work together to maximize spatial clarity and liveability at every turn. Designed by James Harbard Architects, the project reflects a disciplined approach to renovation—balancing restraint, atmosphere, and precision to create a deeply considered residential experience.
